CMS DN 100 Angle Valve

Angle cut-off valves are designed to meet all industrial refrigeration application requirements and provide suitable flow characteristics. It can be easily dismantled and repaired if necessary.

The valve cone is designed to ensure perfect closure and to withstand the high vibration that can be present, especially in the discharge line.

  • Applies to HCFC, HFC, R717 (ammonia), R744 (CO₂) and all flammable refrigerants.
  • Made of special, cold-resistant steel.
  • The valve cone can be rotated on the spindle so that there is no friction between the cone and the seat when the valve opens and closes. The special design prevents the cone from rotating due to impact and vibration when the valve is in the open position. The teflon clamping ring ensures perfect sealing with minimum closing force.
  • The shaft is made of polished stainless steel.
  • It is recommended to install the valves in the direction of flow indicated by the arrow on the valve body. The valve can be mounted in the opposite direction, but this slightly reduces the k-value (c-value).
  • The valve is designed to withstand high internal pressure.
Things To Pay Attention
  • The valve must be mounted so that the stem is in a vertically upward or horizontal position. 
  • CMS ammonia valves are shut-off valves and must always be fully closed or fully open. Half-open positions are not allowed.
  • To obtain optimum flow conditions, the valve should be installed so that the flow is towards the valve cone as indicated by the arrow on the side of the valve body.
  • Remove welding residues and any dirt from the pipes and valve body before installation. Check whether the screws of the cover placed on the valve body are screwed in completely.
  • The outer surface of the valve housing must be protected against corrosion with a suitable protective coating after installation.
  • Do not remove the cover while the valve is running. It is still under pressure.
  • Cylinder head gasket and Teflon cone ring must not be damaged.
  • Check whether the shaft is free and free of scratches and impact marks.
