CMS DN 80 Check Valve

NRVA type check valve can be used in liquid suction and hot gas lines in ammonia refrigeration and air conditioning plants. NRVA can also be used in refrigeration plants with fluorinated refrigerants.

When the NRVA is used in liquid lines where cold, thick oil or impurities may be present, it is recommended to replace the standard spring with a special spring.

  • Ensures correct flow direction.
  • The valve body is made of steel.
  • Not recommended for use with flammable hydrocarbons.
  • The valve is designed to withstand high internal pressure. However, the piping system must be designed to reduce the risk of hydraulic pressure caused by thermal expansion.
  • Applies to HCFC, HFC and R717 (ammonia). Not recommended for use with flammable hydrocarbons. It is recommended to use the valve only in closed circuits. Please contact CMS Valve for more information.
  • The NRVA check valve must be installed in the direction of flow as indicated by the arrow on the check valve body.
  • The internal parts must be removed before welding to avoid damaging the Cylinder head gasket. Flanges should only be welded with materials and welding methods compatible with the flange material. After completion of welding and before the valve is reassembled, the flanges must be cleaned internally to remove welding residues. Care must be taken not to damage the Cylinder head gasket.
  • During assembly and installation, the outer surface of the flanges must be protected against corrosion with a suitable protective coating.
  • Do not remove the valve seat when the valve is under pressure. Check whether the Cylinder head gasket is damaged. Check that the cone is free from scratches and impact marks.
  • Remove all dirt from the body before installing the valve. Tighten the bolts and nut with a wrench.
  • Use only genuine CMS Valve parts, including gaskets, to replace valve parts. In case of hesitation, please contact CMS Valve. CMS Valve accepts no responsibility for errors and omissions. CMS Valve reserves the right to make changes to products and specifications without prior notice.
